Common questions

Things students worry about before reaching out.

Can a student see a psychiatrist without telling their parents?

Yes. If you are 18 or over, you can seek psychiatric care as an adult and your parents do not need to be informed. Dr. Heena respects your autonomy and will discuss confidentiality with you in your first session.

Is it confidential — will my college find out?

No. Your sessions are private and have nothing to do with your college or institution. Dr. Heena does not share information with universities, employers, or anyone else without your explicit consent.

I'm not sure if what I'm feeling is serious enough to see a psychiatrist.

If it's affecting your studies, sleep, relationships, or how you feel day to day, it's serious enough. You don't need to be in crisis to seek support. Many students find that early help makes a significant difference.

How much does it cost? Is there a student rate?

Please contact Dr. Heena directly for current consultation fees — reach her on WhatsApp or call Mahavir Hospital OPD. — please contact Dr. Heena directly to ask about current fees and whether any concessions are available for students.
